 Bill Beckman started in the insurance industry in 1960 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Beckman Company has since expanded it’s operations statewide with offices in Muskogee and Oklahoma City. The Beckman Company is one of the largest family-owned insurance agencies in the State of Oklahoma. The Beckman Company represents many property and casualty insurance companies, each having their own product expertise or services to fill almost any insurance related need.
Among the types of accounts written by The Beckman Company are some 400+ public entities such as municipalities, schools, hospitals, counties, manufacturers, construction contractors, farms, wholesale distributors, small business operations, offices, shopping centers, and many more. Having such a wide arrange of clients, The Beckman Company has developed expertise in a great variety of the insurance needs of many industries and operations.
The Beckman Company takes great pride in the education of our employees. Each employee is encouraged and rewarded for taking continuing education courses, and as a result, over half of our employees have obtained their Certified Insurance Counselor designation as sponsored by the Professional Insurance Agents Association, a national insurance agents association. According to the Professional Insurance Agents Association's statistics, less than one percent of insurance agents have obtained such a designation or its equivalent.
Bill Beckman is the past Chairman of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Martin Beckman and Tom Beckman were both past chief underwriters for a national insurance carrier. Will Beckman is past chairman of the Oklahoma Development Finance Authority.
